Scholarships at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design
In March 2010, Maya Negri granted scholarships to four students from Shenkar College of Engineering and design.
The winning students took part in a fashion competition that was a part of the project "Street fashion", hosted by the department of fashion design. The works were selected by a professional panel, comprised of the school representatives: Leah Perez, the head of the fashion department; Rachel Mirman Hadari, Yivgeni Mashenberg and Gilly Bahat.
"Apart from being a fashion designer", Maya Negri told the students, "I feel it is absolutely necessary to develop Israeli fashion design. I chose this praiseworthy initiative in order to promote young students of fashion design. I was a student here and I cherish this institution, where I learned the rules of the trade. I see this donation as coming full circle".
