The (Very) Good Life
Aquatic encounters that heal the mind and resurrect the body, events and fascinating evenings – part 1 of recommendations to ease life’s hectic pace
Gently, Patiz Fuchs lowers my head underwater. We are alone in the pool, accompanied by a photographer. The body loosens. Calmness takes over. Inner peace.
Thoughts about a return to the womb come to mind. The water release a sense of intimacy. It’s a pleasure I allow myself to experience every other week; a dynamics teaching the body and mind to let go.
Welcome to Pazya Water Healing by Pazit Fuchs – traveler, healer and adventurous which brought dolphin dance healing (focusing on underwater treatment) to Israel and also uses Watsu (water-shiatsu, characterized by floating). She is also the main reason why I’m floating in a pool, teaching myself to practice intimacy.
Pazit and I became friends a few years back. She exposes me to this realm of trying to relax your body so that the soul will flood the silent waters with thoughts and memories. The water relax the muscles, comfort pain, improve blood circulation and allow one to move forward to a meditative, consciousness transforming situation.
The encounters she offers are well suited to women who are pregnant or just gave birth, which ease the body and reinforce the connection with the fetus; encounters focusing on creating a sense of control, balance, strengthening body image and release from trauma; finding a path to the inner self, by focusing on meditative states and encounters release tension and pains. For me, it is a well recommended mesmerizing experience, which allow me to re-connect to unanticipated arenas of my inner life.
Afterwards, I discovered that Erez the photographer is really a chef, just returning from New York. As I insist on exposing myself to a vast array of cultural tastes and try to take every opportunity coming my way, we immediately scheduled a cooking session. I will not be able to share the magnificent sounds and aroma, but the next post will be devoted to the sights and colors.
